The Center for Judicial Excellence is pleased to announce the Protective Parents at The Beach Conference & Awards Reception. Our Fall 2019 Conference is entitled:
TRAUMA-INFORMED PRACTICES: PROTECTING CHILD SURVIVORS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE & CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE IN THE FAMILY COURTS.
LEARN. INSPIRE. CONNECT.
Friday, September 20th – Saturday, September 21st
Annenberg Community Beach House
415 Pacific Coast Highway ~ Santa Monica, CA
The purpose of the weekend is to provide an opportunity for protective parents, domestic violence advocates, legal and mental health professionals, policymakers and anyone who cares about child safety to learn and connect. We aim to come together in a way that will inspire meaningful systemic change. We envision a system that effectively focuses on child safety as the number one priority in child custody litigation cases. On Saturday morning, we’ll have a fun, no-host brunch and relaxing time at the beach with other protective parents and child advocates.
The weekend finale is our semi-formal Champions for Children’s Justice Awards Reception overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We will honor journalists, lawmakers, and advocates whose work has fueled our international movement for child safety in family courts.
California Woman of the Year and protective mother Ana Estevez will be honored, along with a few exceptional journalists, lawmakers and advocates. The complete list of award winners will be announced on July 31st. To participate in selecting the winner of our People’s Choice Award, click here, and be sure to vote before the July 26th deadline!
The awards reception is a fundraiser with appetizers from Feast Catering and an open bar. Proceeds go to supporting our international work to create judicial accountability and to better protect children in the family court system, especially victims of physical, sexual and emotional abuse. We rely 100% on the generosity of individual donations.
Tickets to the Awards Reception are $125 and can be purchased here!
