Former Red Sox Star’s Son Kills 8-Year-Old Boy, Then Himself 3 Years after Ex’s Disappearance

Police were actively investigating the disappearance of George Scott III's ex-girlfriend Lisa Hazard, who went missing in 2019. ‘This is a tragedy;’ Father of 8-year-old killed in shooting claims ex-wife shot their son

DAYTON — The 8-year-old boy that died after a shooting in Dayton Sunday night has been identified. Nolan Combs was identified Tuesday afternoon by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. CJE is a nonprofit organization based in San Rafael, California. Our mission is to protect child abuse and domestic violence survivors in the U.S. family court system and to foster accountability throughout the judicial branch.

For nearly two decades, the Center has been a voice for vulnerable children and a catalyst for child safety as we work tirelessly to expose the systemic failures in U.S. family courts that are harming countless children. We accomplish this by educating the media, lawmakers, and the public about the need for significant reforms while we spearhead legislation focused on keeping children safe and alive through their parent’s divorce or separation.
